#Common issues

#A folder is not showing up

Use Add folder in the sidebar and point it at the folder on disk. If the folder lives in iCloud Drive, Dropbox, or another sync service, give it a moment to finish syncing locally before adding it. MD Flow reads from your filesystem; it does not pull files down on its own.

#Files are not previewing

MD Flow previews .md, .markdown, .mdx, .txt, and a handful of adjacent plain-text types. If a file has a different extension, it will not render as Markdown. Rename the extension or open the file with the appropriate app.

#The app feels slow on a very large folder

The first scan of a large folder can take a moment. After that first pass, the contents are cached and subsequent browsing should feel immediate. If you still see slowness after the initial scan, email us with the folder size and source (local, iCloud, Dropbox, Git).

#Something else

If an issue is not listed here, send an email. A short description and a screenshot are usually enough.

#Report a bug

Email info@markdownfinder.app with:

  • The device and OS version (for example, MacBook Air on macOS 15.4, or iPad Pro on iPadOS 18).
  • The MD Flow version (visible in Settings).
  • What you did, what you expected, and what happened instead.
  • A screenshot or short screen recording if it helps.
  • Where the folder lives: local, iCloud, Dropbox, Git, or something else.

We read bug reports first.

#Request a feature

Email info@markdownfinder.app with what you would like to see. Short, specific requests work best: the task you are trying to do, the friction you hit, and what would make it feel right.

#MD Flow Pro — purchases and restores

MD Flow Pro is a one-time unlock. A single purchase covers macOS, iPadOS, and iOS as long as each device is signed in to the same Apple ID.

If Pro does not appear after a purchase:

  1. On the device, open MD Flow → Settings and tap Restore Purchases.
  2. Confirm the device is signed in to the Apple ID that made the purchase.
  3. If you switched Apple IDs recently, Family Sharing settings can affect restore behavior — check Settings → [your name] → Media & Purchases on iOS/iPadOS, or System Settings → Apple Account → Media & Purchases on macOS.
  4. If Pro still does not restore, email info@markdownfinder.app with the Apple ID email (so we can verify the purchase) and the approximate date of purchase.

Refunds for App Store purchases are handled by Apple, not by us. Use reportaproblem.apple.com to request a refund directly from Apple.
