.MD Finder is built by a small independent team that works with Markdown every day — and got tired of using heavy editors just to read it.

#The idea

Most Markdown tools assume you want to write, organize, link, and build a system. But a large part of working with Markdown is simpler than that: open a folder, find the file, read it, move on.

Finder does not preview Markdown well. Editors are overkill. A dedicated, native, file-first reader fills the gap.

#The approach

• Apple-native, not cross-platform. Each version is built to feel like it belongs on its device.
• Local by default. Your files stay yours.
• Narrow scope, done well. Browse and read. That is the product.
